 Around the World in 40 Vodkas

RedSquare prides itself as Bangkok’s only vodka rooftop bar with over 40 labels from around the globe. The menu concept for the drinks is a Journey Menu; the aim is to have guests venture and taste vodkas from all continents. During the journey, patrons will get to try vodkas from North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The house specialty is creative vodka-infused drinks, whereby the marinate the vodka for a full two weeks with different fresh flavourings, such as pandan leaves, strawberry, banana, raspberry, bergamot, tom yam, chamomile and chocolate. They then use these liquors as the base for their signature cocktail menu.

One such show-stopping tipple is the Canadian Rock Shot, which consists of Crystal Head Vodka, Campari, Vermouth, peach liqueur, chocolate and maple syrup. It pretty much tastes like Canada in a cup! Another exotic blend is the Kenya Dawa cocktail, combing Tito’s Handmade Vodka infused with chocolate, hazelnut liqueur, coconut syrup, lime and egg white. And finally, we highly recommend the Martini Twist, starring the Ultimat Vodka from Poland, a unique vodka made from three different sources: potato, wheat, and rye.

For true vodka connoisseurs the menu will be a pure delight, featuring such famous global brands as Artic (Italy), Absolut (Sweden), Barton (USA), Belvedere (Poland), Finlandia (Finland), Grey Goose (France), Reyka (Iceland) Ketel One (Netherlands), Larios Vodka (Spain), Monte Carlo (Monaco), Sash & Fritz (Germany), Smirnoff (UK) and Valt (Scotland).

For those of you not fancying vodka, we have two excellent suggestions for you: Midnight in Bangkok featured Hennessey V.S. Blanco Vermouth, apricot Liqueur, lemon and ginger ale, and the English Ice Tea is a delightful beverage starring Caorunn Scottish Gin, earl grey liqueur, guava juice, stevia syrup and lime. Both drinks offer a sweet and satisfying punch.

Note: RedSquare Rooftop Bar has a smart casual dress code. No swimwear, flip-flops, sleeveless shirts or oversized bags allowed. 

This extravagant event will feature 40 brands of vodka from 20 countries, along with 20 vodka infusions. Similar to a wine tasting, guests will be given a ‘vodka passport’ to collect stamps as they try different drinks. Hop around the globe from one vodka glass to the next!

Don’t worry about your stamina either, as the drinks will be served alongside free-flow canapes.
